Information for online businesses

An online business is a company that operates only online, by phone, or through delivery. It doesn't have an office that customers can visit.

These companies can be added to Yango for Business as online businesses. You can post a link to your Yango for Business profile on your website and in your social media channels. Customers will see the region you operate in or your delivery area. It will make it easier for them to place orders and learn about your promotions.

Features

You can use an online business profile to:

  • Publish posts.
  • Add a price list, action button.
  • Add photos.
  • Change the service area where the company operates.
  • Reply to and report issues in reviews.

Limitations

Profiles of online businesses have the following limitations:

  • Profiles are available only via a direct link.
  • They are not published in Yango Maps.

Add a business

If you haven't added your company to Yango for Business yet, follow the instructions. It's free.

Step 1. Log in

Note

When adding a company to Yango for Business, don't use your personal username. You won't be able to transfer your company to a different username.

Open Yango for Business and log in with your Yango ID. If you don't have a username, sign up using your:

Step 2. Specify the name and business category

Enter the name of your company. Enter the main business category. To do this, start typing the category name and select one from the drop-down list. Once you add your company, you'll be able to choose two additional business categories.

Under Do you have a place customers can visit?, click No, I only do business online.

Step 3. Specify your city or region

Online businesses don't have a street address in Yango for Business. Select a city or region where your services are available.

Step 4. Enter your phone number and website address

  1. Enter the phone number. After you register, users will see the number in the company profile.
  2. Enter your website or social media page. If your company doesn't have a website, you can provide links to messengers.
  3. Choose a convenient way to confirm your number: by SMS or with a call.
  4. Wait until a message arrives or an automated operator calls. Usually, the waiting time is less than 10 minutes.
  5. Enter the verification code to confirm your number.

Wait until your application is verified. Sometimes, it takes up to three days. You can track the verification status in the RequestsConfirmation section.

After verification is complete, your company profile will be published online.

If the status of your request does not change after two weeks, contact support.

Confirm your rights to the company

Company profiles in Yango for Business can be managed by a user with the Owner or Representative role. For more information, see User roles.

To confirm your rights to a company, get a code and enter it in the form.

Get a code

  1. Find your company in Yango for Business:

    1. Go to the Businesses page.

    2. Enter the company name in the Search field at the top of the page and click . To refine the search, specify the region.

    3. Find your company in the search results and click Get access.

  2. The window Confirm your ownership rights to the company opens: select the phone number you want to use to confirm your rights. It can be a mobile or landline number.

    Owners and Representatives can edit phone numbers specified in the profile using a Yango for Business account.

  3. If you selected:

    • Landline number: click Confirm with a call. If the phone number has a voice menu, select There's a voice menu.
    • Mobile number: choose whether you want to receive the code by call or SMS.

You will be redirected to the window that says We'll call soon for confirmation.

Wait for an SMS or call with a code, then enter it in the Confirmation code field. If you don't want to wait, close the window and enter the code later (see I already have the code).

If you already have the code

  1. Go to the Requests page and open the Confirmation tab.
  2. Click Enter code.
  3. Enter the code you received.

Online business' data

  1. On the Businesses page, click the link with the company name.
  2. In the menu on the left, go to About the businessData.
  3. Fill in your information. For more information, see Fill out the company information.

All data is moderated. The information must meet Yango requirements.

Can I get the “Verified” icon?

Yes, online businesses can get a “Verified” icon for their profile. To learn more, see Get the icon.

How can I change the city or region where my services are available?

To add new regions or change the service area:

  1. On the Businesses page, click the link with the company name.
  2. In the left-side menu, go to About the businessData.
  3. Go to the Service area section.
  4. Select the regions from the list or set a radius around a point with a specific address. The radius value can only be an integer no more than 10,000 km.
  5. Click Save changes at the bottom of the page.

What do I do if my company gets an actual street address?

Fill out a request form to add your business to Yango Maps:

  1. In your personal account, select a business.
  2. In the Activate useful services section on the right, select You'll appear in Yango Maps.
  3. Create a request using the form.

Reviews and rating

Reviews

Any user with a Yango ID can leave a review about your company. Reviews help other users make good choices.

You can manage reviews about your business.

Rating

Business rating is a value from 1 to 5 calculated using scores and reviews from Yango users.

The rating isn't a score given to the company by Yango but rather a tool that helps users compare companies. It takes into account not only the average score, but also the number, value, and reliability of scores, as well as the results of comparing different companies by users and many other factors to create a more objective picture.
